Donna Marie signed to Jet Star’s Charm label at the turn of the new Millennium and her arrival gifted the Camp with a singer blessed with clear, melodious vocals who proved to be wonderfully versatile, recording a variety of musical styles from Reggae, Lovers Rock to Gospel, R&B and Pop. The singles ‘What Can I Do’ and ‘All I Have’ together with her debut album ‘Can’t Stop Loving You’ created the momentum that was immediately effective on the mainstream Reggae audiences. ‘Master Plan’ from her Gospel album ‘Now Is The Time’, really made things happen for Donna. Here was a singer who breathed new life into familiar material, all whilst writing memorable songs of her own. She was now connecting with more audiences from around the world including the Caribbean, America and Europe. In Brazil, where she performed to thousands of people, the reception from the crowds was a special milestone. So too was her appearance in 2006 at the Royal Albert Hall in London where she appeared as the lead singer with 1100-strong voices in support during a live performance with ‘I Gospel’.
