Rubi Dan

Rubi Dan is one of the UK’s most versatile MCs and a bonafide emperor supreme of the
Dancehall. Rubi Dan worked with the UK’s number one Bashment sound, The Heatwave between
2005 and 2014 together they supported Sean Paul at Bristol Academy. Rubi Dan has worked
with Roots Manuva, Deekline, Ed Solo, Liondub, Sticky, Sticky Budz, K Warren to name a few.
Rubi Dan was signed to Sony Records working with a sound collective called I & I – with their hit
“Don’t Get Me Wrong” remixed by Ray Keith.
Rubi Dan recorded four songs with Side Steppers album “In The Beats We Trust“. From that LP
2 songs – “In the Beats We Trust” and ” Mas Papaya” were hits in Latin America and Columbia.
Rubi Dan featured on Andy Jay & S-Tee “Funky Dip” hit featured on Malibu‘s TV commercial
adverts.
Rubi Dan is an expert in hyping up any crowd and has performed at festivals, carnivals and clubs
all over the world, Jamaica, Germany, California, India, Canada, Portugal, Texas, Spain, Poland
Thailand and Europe, Rubi Dan’s performance style is high energy and good vibes – he connects
and commands the crowds hype. He is very strong vocally with an original style.
Rubi Dan is the front man of Captain Ska highlighting social injustice. Rubi had a No.1 on Selecta
charts with debut solo track “Fall in Love featuring Natz and Chelz” It was the most popular
streamed track September 2018 it also reached No.1 in Jamaica’s Central Expression video TV
chart show.
