North London-born singer-songwriter L A GRAY spent his formative years in Barbados, where he developed his unique sound drawing inspiration from legends including Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, John Holt, Beres Hammond, H-Town, Jodeci, and Men of Vision. His deeply personal lyrical style and standout vocals have earned him wide acclaim across the reggae community and beyond.
Life experience has shaped both his character and his art: he has navigated significant hardship, including the loss of his older brother to cancer, and turned to music as his primary way to process and express those feelings.
