Black Arrow Music Ltd

BIOGRAPHY
Black Arrow Music is the publishing identity of London based record & distribution company, Cousins Records. The name of the label stems from the fact that Black Arrow founder, Donville Davis' cousins are Leroy and Dave Heywood otherwise known as Mafia & Fluxy.
Cousins records was established in 1992 after Donville Davis had spent numerous months between England, Jamaica & America sourcing new & veteran reggae artists to record on new & old riddims produced by himself and built exclusively by his cousins who just so happened to be England's own inimitable rhythm twins.
After a string of successful releases on in the 1990's including Mad Cobra's "Rude Bwoy Tune", and the number one's ' "World Of Girls" "You Lie" by Chaka Demus & Pliers and Leroy Mafia, respectively, Donville launched a new offshoot label Black Arrow which would grow to become one of Britain's biggest music distributors.
With albums by the likes of Danny Ray, Turbulence, Tony Curtis, Winston Reedy under their belt it was only a matter of time before they scored a major Reggae success. This came with Lloyd Brown's seminal Silver album, a release that set the artist on his way to successful tours of the US. In this time of diminishing outlets, Cousins continue to be relevant by remaining one of the few entities still releasing music both physically & digitally whether it be artist albums or compilations like their Strictly Lovers, One Drop and Culture sets.
