G Vibes

G Vibes started singing from a young age in school where he learned his skills as a musician. He later got involved in engineering and sang on local South London sound systems Remus and Dread diamonds and pursued his musical quest by going to studios where he would play on sessions. Working with Radio DJ/Producer, Daddy Noddy, the first recording he was a part of was 'Chicken Flap' by Horseman and Ricky Ranking. He also hooked up with Deejay Jooxie Nice for the local hits, 'Good Wok' and 'Human Nature' - the latter a combination featuring G Vibes and Jooxie. He moved on to form another label Goldhawk with former partners where he recorded more vocal tracks including 'The Word' by Leroy Simmonds and his own 'Never Give Up Life'. It was time to go it alone and to this end he formed the New Faze music label where he had more success with Leroy Simmonds on 'Goodbye', his own 'Spend Every Night" and Vivian Jones' 'Jah Never Fail I. In 1999 his ‘Persecution’ opened him up to the roots market. He then linked up with his friend Tippa Irie who was forming a production house – Lockdown Productions for whom they produced the track ‘Divide and Rule’ - a tribute to Tippa’s recently departed sister, Miss Irie. He also voiced a combination with himself and Jah Mason as well as Mykal Rose’s ‘Junkies In The Streets’ on the same rhythm. In 2018, fed up of taking a backseat working on other artist’s projects, G Vibes hit the campaign trail to promote his EP 'Jah Love Is All Around'. This saw him being interviewed all through the summer of that year as a precursor to the release of his official debut long player.
